The factory acceptance tests (FAT) for the earth wire and the tower stubs intended for the construction of 400 kV Vulcanesti-Chisinau overhead transmission line (OHTL) have been successfully completed.

The tests were carried out during March 24-28, 2023, at the production plants in India under the supervision of SE Moldelectrica and the technical supervision consultant representatives.

According to the conclusions of the experts’ team, the earth wire and the tower stubs meet all technical requirements and will withstand the weather conditions specific to the Republic of Moldova.

The construction of the OHTL is part of the Power System Development Project financed by the World Bank and implemented by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Energy, through Moldova Energy Projects Implementation Unit (MEPIU). The project will be implemented during 2022-2024 and the beneficiary of the project is SE Moldelectrica.
